Objectives: *To identify sources of innovatice practice in their operation

Description: You've just spent the past three years learning how to follow all the rules. Now let's take time to learn how to break some! This session will help you identify entrenched 'rules' that are stopping your program from achieving its full potential. You will also find ways to incorporate innovation as part of your on-going operation. We've all got enough rules so let's get rid of some today.

Speaker Bio:
Sally Spero, SNS, is a child nutrition professional with over 25 years of experience in successful school meal program operation. Currently the Child Nutrition Director for the Lakeside Union School District in Lakeside CA, she worked for 14 years as a senior management staff member for the San Diego CA Unified School District and for 10 years as the Food Service Director for the New Albany-Floyd County Unified School District in New Albany IN.
Mrs. Spero writes and speaks frequently on child nutrition topics. She has served on the Executive Board of the California School Nutrition Association for ten years where she is Editor of the state magazine Poppy Seeds and has done presentations for a diverse audience including the Association of Business Officials, the School Nutrition Association and the California School Boards Association. She is the recipient of the 2009 FAME Silver Spirit Award, given annually to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the child nutrition field.
