Objectives: The course objective is to educate the audience on the allowable and unallowable costs associated with remodeling and renovation projects of school kitchens and central kitchens.
Description: Some of the most common questions the Nutrition Services Division (NSD) receives regarding allowable uses of their school food service account (Cafeteria Fund) are regarding remodeling and renovation projects. NSD staff will provide in-depth guidance regarding the allowable uses of the Cafeteria Fund when contemplating a remodeling or renovation project of your kitchen.

Speaker Bio:
School Nutrition Programs Analyst Sean Hardin has worked for the State of California for over seven years; about five of those years were spent doing appraisals for the Departments of General Services and Water Resources. Over the past year and a half, Mr. Hardin has worked in the School Nutrition Programs Unit as a county analyst for Orange, Ventura, and Imperial counties. Additionally, Mr. Hardin is also a subject matter expert on Cafeteria Funds.
