Objectives: To help SFA's learn how to maximize the USDA Foods Program
Description: Processing USDA Foods: Part One- Introduction and Overview
Part One provides participants with an overview of the USDA Foods Processing Program including options for participating in the USDA Foods Program, ordering, and general management.
Processing USDA Foods: Part Two- Advanced Session
Part Two provides participants with an in-depth look at the USDA Foods Processing Program, including Value Pass Through Systems, utilizing Summary End Product Data Schedules, and how USDA Foods plays a role in the new Administrative Review Process.

Stephanie Ewing, RD - California Department of Education
Speaker Bio:
Stephanie Ewing, RD is the Manager of the Distribution and Processing Unit with the California Department of Education, Nutrition Services Division. In her role as Manager, Stephanie oversees the Food Distribution Program's two State Distribution Centers in Pomona and Sacramento, the USDA Foods Processing Program, and a small senior feeding program called the Commodity Supplemental Food Program. Prior to joining the Food Distribution Program, Stephanie spent 2 years as a Child Nutrition Consultant with the Nutrition Services Division's School Nutrition Programs Unit. She has more than 16 years of food service experience working in the restaurant industry, hospital food service, and managing the residential dining operation at Sacramento State University. She also served as a faculty member at Sacramento State training future dietitians on the complexities of food service management.
