Objectives: Participants will be able to identify the three types of communication, and how to apply the learned techniques and strategies when communicating with the various stakeholders within their school community.
Description: Unlock the secrets to achieve an interconnected school community by applying effective communication techniques and strategies that cultivate a cohesive school environment. Discover how you can empower your cafeteria staff to integrate themselves in the school community through different communication approaches and relationship building tactics for the purpose to serve the child as a whole.

Speaker Bio:
Vicka Plubell is a Food Services Training Specialist for the Los Angeles Unified School District and works closely with school-based Food Service Managers, staff, and students to reinforce State and Federal guidelines, food safety, promote nutrition and healthy eating practices. Vicka has a passion to develop and train people to reach their full potential in their professional careers. She believes in the importance of using multiple visual-aides like PowerPoint presentations, short videos and class activities to ensure the message is understood with clarity.
