Description: This session will have you learning how to use points-based programs to benefit your meal program while complying with purchasing regulations. Hear from your peers as to what language they use in purchasing to maximize their points and what rewards they find most beneficial. 1. Identify ways to correctly add value to school meal programs through points-based programs and additional marketing support 2. Learn real examples of how to leverage points to best meet your needs 3. Take away record-keeping examples and appropriate bid language to meet procurement regulations

Melissa Larsen - RealTime Solutiions
Speaker Bio:
Melissa Larsen has been an Account Director for the past 11+ years at RealTime Solutions, a foodservice data aggregation and analytics company. At RealTime Solutions, she directs research development and business strategy, and previously oversaw points-based programs including Cool School Cafe. Larsen has served K-12 foodservice through SNA national committee and ongoing industry involvement. She worked in previous roles in the areas of healthcare research development at Mayo Clinic and NorthShore University HealthSystem. She holds a Masters of Public Health, Nutrition and a BA in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She enjoys continuous life-learning and exploring.
