Description: Are you sure your students are receiving a reimbursable meal? During this session, we will share the most common administrative review findings related to offer versus serve (OVS) and meal pattern shortages. Come learn how to avoid these common findings. This session will provide clarification between OVS at breakfast and lunch and tips for creating clear signage.

Julie BoarerPitchford is an NEC with the CDE NSD. Ms. BoarerPitchford is currently responsible for nutrition education and training projects for school food service and school nutrition educators. She is also the lead staff for the Team Up for School Nutrition Success workshops in California.
Ashley Osterman - California Department of Education (CDE) Nutrition Services Division (NSD)
Speaker Bio:
Ashley Osterman is a School Nutrition Program CNC with the CDE NSD. Ms. Osterman is the lead food safety subject matter expert with the CDE. As a part of the SNPU, she is responsible for menu review, food safety, special dietary needs, and providing nutrition-related technical assistance.
Christine Santy - California Department of Education (CDE) Nutrition Services Division (NSD)
Speaker Bio:
Christine Santy is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and is a Regional Manager in the FSU with the CDE, NSD. She has worked with the CDE for over seven years. A respected authority in her field, Ms. Santy has collaborated on nutrition campaigns for a variety of internationally recognized organizations such as the Got Milk? Tour, and the Boy Scouts of America.
