Objectives: Attendees will be equipped with the information needed to include more plant-based meals in menu planning.
Description: Plant-based eating is growing in popularity; it's in the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee Report, Meatless Monday Program, and beyond. Hundreds of studies indicate that we should cut back on animal proteins and include more plant-based meals for optimal health. Sharon is an expert in plant-based nutrition, and can provide attendees with the background, science, and instructional information needed to promote plant-based meals in school foodservice.
