Objectives: Participants will learn from directors some marketing tips for school nutrition programs, learn no-cost and low-cost resources for marketing, learn free resources and marketing help from the Dairy Council of California
Description: In this panel discussion, you will hear from districts and school partners using marketing/promotional techniques and resources to increase participation including tips from the California School Meals Outreach Toolkit.

Speaker Bio:
Heather holds a Bachelor's degree in Health Education from California State University, Chico. Heather's decision to become a health educator stemmed from a desire to help people and work on the prevention side of healthcare.
As a Community Nutrition Adviser at Dairy Council of California, Heather enjoys working in the field of health promotion at the grassroots level. Heather assists school districts in creating a culture of wellness for their students, improving the cafeteria environment to encourage students to choose and consume locally grown food and making healthy eating easier.
Heather was brought up to value family meals and have a love for being active. As a new mom, she is excited to pass these values on to her son.
